Welcome to Love (them) Raise (them) Teach (them)!

I am a mom, blessed with two great daughters, Love Bear and Imagination Bear. I’ve been married to an amazing and wonderful man, Daddy Bear, for almost nine years. I have a background in education and an immense love for learning.

Close to nine years ago I had the amazing opportunity to begin working with homeschooling families. I was a recent college graduate, first in my family to graduate from high school and college (no pressure there!!).  With my teaching credential in hand I searched for a job without any luck.  Then, in the form of an answered prayer a job offer came!

Back then, I had no idea that accepting that job would transform my views on education and the way I would choose to educate my children. This was the first time I heard of homeschooling in a way that did not mean, high school students working independently at home because they were credit deficient. These families were involved, dedicated, hardworking, truly interested in teaching their children not only academics, but morals and family values.

I quickly learned that homeschooling was an amazing world where families could experience fun and learning as they Love Raise and Teach their children.

In September of this year,  we will “formally” start homeschooling Love Bear, our outgoing 4.5 year old. Imagination Bear, almost 3, will be along for the ride! I am both excited and nervous about our new adventure. I want to share my success and epic failures challenges with you, in hopes they enhance our experience and maybe inspire a few people along the way.
